NieR:Automata – Fan-Made Game UI Study

What makes the UI of NieR:Automata so remarkable?
Despite its limited colour palette, it manages to feel subtle, elegant, and deeply immersive. The game achieves a rare balance — blending minimalism, atmosphere, and functionality into a seamless experience.
In this fan-made study, I set out to recreate and analyse key screens to explore how interface design can actively support storytelling in games.
This project is purely educational and non-commercial, created as a tribute to the game design language. Every element was recreated from scratch; no original assets were used.
